SabbathJeff As the past reaches forward, the present reaches back to greet it. Saw MOUNTAIN (?!!?!?!!?) at KFN (best in Philly) on 6.3.17; felt I'd time traveled. Ice Dragon give me the same feeling, but from the opposite end of the time frame. This album is righteous as all get out. Favorite track? The album.

Received. Spun. Loved. Thank You!

Flowers 08:02
when they bury me when my head pours into the ground my thoughts will all grow flowers sprouting out all around some will be violet and yellow and green and others will only be black they'll tell my life's story to all who walk by and there will be no hidden facts don't be suprised if the flowers all have your eyes and for petals your long flowing hair and though you'd like to pick them i'd rather you just left them there when i said i loved you the flowers all turned red when i broke your heart they all went pale instead when we kissed the sun shone through in yellow when i did you wrong the blackness crept in from below (chorus repeats) when i am dead and i am buried in a long wooden box alone with nothing but the dirt myself, and my thoughts i will grow a mighty tree straight out of my heart i will grow a mighty tree straight out of my heart and the fruit will bear your name and it will grow forever strong forever strong

the rays of the sun shine on our helmets at dawn we take to the sea to find the ancient one pulling away, manning the oars to know only strangeness and distant shores moon and the stars shine their love upon our quest we pray to the gods our mission be blessed to find the shining serpent that plagues this land of men to find him where he sleeps and then we tear into his den there he lays, still as death under rock and stone and dark and wet there he lays, still as death under rock and stone and dark and wet dark black sea at night shining serpent takes to the sky men prepare themselves to fight and let their spears and arrows fly snaps through the mast the timber cracks ship torn in half poseidon's grasp snaps through the mast the timber cracks ship torn in half poseidon's grasp poseidon's grasp

i'll go low and you'll go high i'll sink into the ground and you'll float up to the sky wings made of wax or wings made of stone they either melt in the sun or they're too heavy to hold from time to time you'll reach down to help me out but all i'll ever do is look up at you in doubt wings made of wax or wings made of stone they either melt in the sun or they're too heavy to hold

about

"Imagine if Black Sabbath combined their heavy and psychedelic sides – they tended to toggle between those modes rather than combine them – and took even more drugs, and turned everything up into screaming, red-lined peaks. They then came down hard and also wrote pretty acoustic songs – not those bullshit interludes, but real, actual songs."

- Invisible Oranges (Cosmo Lee)

"Due to the great variety of sounds this album, as the previous album by Ice Dragon, is very heavy but not “monolithic”. Strangely enough, though, in spite of the frequent use of intimate, acoustic parts, Ice Dragon fixes as a “heavy” band in your mind. The sounds tremble in the void and are distorted and “dirty”, dense, three-dimensional, enveloping you like a dense fog due to a cave-like effect of the mixing/production. Even the acoustic parts and tracks are anything but flat, they are physically refreshing like breaths of night breeze."

- Doommantia (Marilena Moroni)
