This album was recorded on four-track cassette tape. After recording drums at The Wrecker, the tape was brought over to The Keep for synth, mellotron and a few bass tracks. Ron forgot that the tape was in his pants pocket and put them in the wash when he got home. The next day when he opened the washer, there was a pile of tape unspooled among the clothing, and the case had broken in a few places. Luckily, it looked worse than it was and only a few minutes of audio had to be cut from the spool. After a little Scotch tape and a transplant into a new cassette case, it was back up and running and sounding better than ever. Maybe the detergent added a little something to the sound. Who knows?
